During his tenure, he has introduced several Private Members’ Bills addressing critical issues such as gender equality in education, environmental sustainability, and public health. Notably, he served as the Chairman of the Committee on Petitions, making him one of the youngest to chair a Parliamentary Committee. Kumar’s parliamentary work reflects his focus on legislative accountability, policy innovation, and addressing socio-economic challenges through informed debate and collaborative policymaking.

1

PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE

A parliamentary committee is a group of MPs from both Houses formed to examine laws, scrutinize government policies, and investigate public issues. They play a key role in reviewing legislation, gathering expert opinions. Their findings are reported to Parliament.

DEBATES & SPEECHES

Debates in Parliament are discussions where MPs express their views on various issues, often before voting on a matter. Speeches are formal addresses made by MPs or Ministers to present their opinions, arguments, or statements on specific topics during sessions.

2

ZERO HOURS & SPECIAL MENTION

Zero Hour is a period in Indian Parliament where MPs raise urgent issues without prior notice, typically after Question Hour. It allows MPs to bring important matters to the attention of the House, though no immediate debate or response is required.

5

PRIVATE MEMBER BILLS

A Private Member's Bill is a legislative proposal introduced by a Member of Parliament. These bills allow MPs to raise issues, suggest reforms, and advocate for changes in laws, though they are less likely to pass compared to government bills.
