#EkPedMaaKeNaam

“A mother gives us life. A tree sustains it.”
The “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign beautifully unites these two eternal symbols of care and nourishment — the mother and Mother Earth. By planting a tree in the name of our mothers, we are not only expressing gratitude for their unconditional love but also taking a meaningful step toward protecting our planet for future generations.
I wholeheartedly support this visionary initiative launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, which transforms environmental responsibility into a deeply personal act of love. Each tree planted becomes a living tribute — a symbol of affection, gratitude, and legacy.
Odisha, my home state, has long shared a sacred bond with nature — our traditions, festivals, and livelihoods are intertwined with the forests and the soil. Through “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, I urge every citizen, especially our youth, to come forward and plant at least one tree for their mother. Let us together turn this movement into a mass people’s campaign that strengthens our environment, restores biodiversity, and builds a greener, cleaner, and more resilient India.
Let this not be a one-day effort, but a lifelong commitment — to nurture every sapling as we would nurture our own future.
